Projects

The purpose of this page is to provide a brief guide to some of the key aspects of managing your time with Worktimer V2
There's not a lot of detail in this guide but the system itself should be quite self explanatory.

Add Category

Categories are used to identify different types of project.

  1. Add category button: Expand the form used to add a category.
  2. Category form: Use this form to enter the category details.

Add Project

Projects are used to group different tasks. A project can have as many tasks and needed.

  1. Project title: The project title is used to identify a project.
  2. Category: A projecty can be assigned to a category using this form field.
  3. Inital time: It's often useful to add an inital time to a project. This can be entered in hh:mm:ss format.

Tasks


Add Task

  1. Add task button: Expand the form used to add a new task to the project.
  2. Task title: This is the title used to identify the task in the task list.
  3. Inital Time: Eash task added can have an inital time assigned to it.
    This is useful for adding tasks that have been completed in the past.

Task controls

  1. Timer controls: These controls are used to start and stop each task's timer.
    Multiple timers can run ar the same time
  2. Task actions: Each task can be either deleted, which completly removes all of the task's data from the worktimer database.
    or archived, which removes the task from the task list but doesnt delete the actual task data.

Reports

Project reports can now be generated using the report link in the navigation bar

By default all projects created during the current month are displayed as pit charts. Each section of the pie chart represents the un archived tasks associated to the project

Filter Dates

Reports can be filtered using the date selection form at the top of the page.
This form can be displayed by clicking on the like at the top right of the page

This filter form can be used to select the start and end dates that determin which projects will be displayed as pie charts.

An individual project's report can be viewed by clicking on the 'View as Pie Chart' within the project's page.

Invoicing

I've not written this section yet but invoicing is very straightforward once you've added an hourly wage to your account.
